ohhhh really good margarita mix. Wizz, you are such a good man (hugs)
Hey Ian, I was sitting at my desk listen the the BBC and got the update on the opening rounds of the Cricket Tournament. Not sure which tournament but India was playing and apparently very impressive. I have to say, none of it made sense to me but it did make me think of you.
PC raises a pint of beer "To Cricket"
-
Idea! In leu of an internet gatherings, perhaps we could have Wizz send out to anyone involved, a fifth of Margaritas and we can have an online gathering. Hmmm... Where are the chat rooms? ICQ? MSN Messenger?
-
Cricket - India are currently playing against the West Indies. The tournament that was mentioned was jointly won by India and Sri Lanka Crash, after they gave up because of rain.
A 5th of Margaritas? Could be popular.
Then again - the London rally for world peace totalled 10 people last Saturday, while the London rally for saving Farscape totalled 68 (plus a guide dog). What does that say about the state of the world?
-
That people are focused on more galactic concerns? Isn't it good that people are worried about saving the galaxy? We have transcended purely human needs?
-
We did manage to get the policeman guarding the Chinese Embassy from the peace rally (peacekeepers?) to chat and take a leaflet. He said that had it been Star Trek then he could have gotten us a police escort LOL!
-
Hey Merle! Make sure Azziz's drinks go on my tab today, it's her birthday you know!
-
I'll have a Fuzzy Navel! Thanks Ian!
-
Jeez...I gotta check the Bdayt list more often. HAPPY BIRHDAY, Asis!!!
-
ummm....could my drinks go on Ian's tab too? I think I had a birthday this year too.
-
Sure Ran, why not?
I feel like celebrating - the London 5th of October Save Farscape Rally had the second highest attendence in the world! We rock! LOL!

Hey, Nommy...just took a good look at your avitar. That has to be the strangest lookin' can (can???) of Samuel Adams I've ever seen. Dunno, maybe after a couple they both taste the same? They've introduced Samuel Adams Lite out here, but still...
-
Ack!!!!! I missed AsIs's birthday!!! Here, have a fuzzy navel on me!
::Merle pours a fuzzy navel over his head::
-
Hey Wizz! I debated on whether to put that Avatar out there with a NON-Sammy beer in my grasp. I shall have to work on that one. LoL
-
Wizz, they do NOT taste the same.
Shame on you, Nommy. You could at least lie to us and say the pic was taken before you tasted Sammy for the first time.
-
Um...I was Low on money?
-
The truly frightening thing is that it appears he's operating some sort of motorized vehicle!
OK, so it looks like a golf cart. But Nommy, drinking, with a club in his hand????
-
Hmmmm...ok. Guess that'll have to do.
At least it wasn't a Fosters! (!= )
-
LoL...Yeah It was a Pontoon Boat. 24 footer. A floating dance hall.
-
I don't know which is worse, Bud Light or Italian Beer. I think I am leaning towards Bud Light.
-
Dunno about Italian beer, but But^Hd, Bud Lite, Fosters (bleah!) Corona (why do you think they serve it with a lime???) and even Michelob all occupy the bottom rung of what is called beer. Sorry excuses for the brew, IMNSHO.
Good ones?
Spaten Oktoberfest
Sierra Nevada Pale Ale
Bohemia (Mexican)
Sam Adams
and of course,
Guiness.
Probably others, but you know...so many beers, so little time.
Now, if you want to make the bottom rung of beers listed taste good, first try some Keystone or Old Milwaukee. Just stay away from any lit fires for a few hours...

Nomad mutters some sacred elf and Ent words and the bar becomes eery just for Halloween.
-
Oooh Spooky! Merle how about a round of Sammies with dry ice pouring out? And go light on the spiders, please.
-
We now return to our regular snoring crowd of wizards, warlocks, witches and all around weirdly cool people!
-
Merle shook his head at the lack of business. No tips. He sighed. What was wrong? Hey, this was football season, and that usually meant big crowds, booze and snacks, and big tips. What was wrong?
Merle looked around Da Bar, and noticed no TV. Hmmm.
Merle walked over to the table where Nommy and Ran were happily snoozing, and Crash was grumbling about students who couldn't pass an exam when you gave them the questions. He sat down a tray of drinks, and cleared his throat. Loudly.
Crash looked annoyed, and Ran and Nommy looked grumpy/sleepy. "He, we got ESPN. Did you know?" Merle jerked a thumb at the giant plazma screen TV set, with Surround Sound.
Nommy looked at Merle suspiciously. "Hey, that wasn't there just a while ago. Did you do some conjuring?"
Merle looked aghast. "Me???? Conjur?? Scandalous! Good heavens!" Merle scurried back the the storeroom for some chicken wings and buffalo sauce.
-
Nomad opens one eye then the other qyuickly when the wafting of the Buffalo sauce poured through his nostils.
Man, thats enough to clear up the ole sinuses!
Nomad take a few wings and som blue cheese dressing to dip and looks at the TV... Damn commercials...So...what team are we watching?
-
"I have a right to grumble." Holding up the practice exam PC sighs "The questions are right here. See right here. I mean, how much easier can I make it for them? But no, they all have to go and flunk the damn thing any way."
-
Ran wakes to the blaring TV and changes the channel. Sorry, Tuesdays are "Haunted Tuesdays" on the Travel Channel. Can't miss that. Ahhhh...... I will take some Buffalo wings though.
-
Aside to Ran: Hey, I'm learning to love the Travel Channel too!
Merle turns to Nommy: "It's Wednesday night. Time for Amazing Race! OK, here's the betting line....."
-
"What are we betting on? Who makes the dumbest mistake this time? Who knows what the word walk means? Hell, these guys could be in my class....."
PC orders a Sam Adams and a pile of potatoe skins.
"For the record I did not laugh when it cam eout that Quayle could not spell, that would be hypocritical. I did laugh when I saw the picture of President Bush reading a book to a group of school children and the book was upside down."
-
Hey Prof, did you mean to spell "potatoe" Dan Quayle style on purpose since you invoked his name?
-
Damn! I haven't watched a single ep of The Amazing Race this time. I usually catch on to a few of them. If it's on at 8:00 you can forget it.."Enterprise" is on.
Hey...does this TV have picture in picture? We should always have a PIP dedicated to any scifi program that my be on.
Aside to Merle and Rantarn..I als have started to get hooked on the Travel channel They really cover some cool places and topics.
-
Ran, would you like to borrow some armour?
Observing Crash's spelling is a dangerous business.
-
I can never spell potato. with an e or without an e? grrrrrrrr
I love spell check. Can't they put spell check on this site? What you want me to spell check things in Word and cut and paste them here? Way too much trouble.
-
Sheesh, Prof! There's a spell checker on this site. Just click on "Post a reply", then gaze just to the left of the box you type in. You know, right under the word "Message:". It says Check Spelling.
Now, I can't vouch for the accuracy of the spell checker, and potatoe may be valid with this version, but hey...it's there.
Wow...just checked and it nailed potatoe. Life is good...
-
Damn never saw that before. I always hit the add reply button and not preview. (grins) Damn, now what excuse do I have?
Cool no spelling errors.
-
HEy Crash! Same excuse that I have....Hitting the Spell checker is too much trouble...LoL
-
OK, time for the Scifi channel onm the big screen.
-
"hehehehehehehehehhehe" PC enters the bar grinning from ear to ear and giggling. She is carrying a very large box.
"snicker, giggle"
Sitting at a table PC fondles the box "My precious."
Suddenly she looks around the room "DON'T TUCH. NO ONE TOUCH!"
She returns to giggling.
-
AsIs starts to take a look at PC's boxes until Crash yells, "DON'T TUCH!"
Looking very perplexed she responds, "I wasn't going to touch your TUCH! Sheesh!"
-
To Tuch or not to Touch or to Touch or not to tuch..those are the questions.
Nomad peers over PC's shoulder and catched a glimps of some color, but gets the elbow in the belly before he could make out what it really was.
"MINE! NO TUCH! ", yells PC. "giggle giggle"
